Another Rant: Rising Up
It's like they want us to rise up... But then say, "Not that much!" They want us to be angry, But "Not that angry!" They want us to fight, "But do it without violence." When the fascists behave violently they want us to behave peacefully. We try, but how does it help when that peace is met with violence? Then the fascists tell them: "You see how yours behave! How dare you all to call out our violence! Hypocrites!" Then they join the fascists by condemning us! Fuck them! I often tell people that I am a peace activist not a pacifist. They'd be better to know the fucking difference. It is preferable that protests be peaceful. No one wants violence. But at times when we are pushed to the brink of fear, of despair, and desperation, we need to take a stand of any kind.
