If these were normal times, a decent and just political party would tell their nominee, who was convicted of fraud, to resign. They would not want this poison in their party. They would not want fascism. Instead they are happy to drink it and rally around this demagogue, who has no morals, no shame, no humility, and the American oligarchs, like Theil (who is on the board at Facebook), Musk (who owns X/Twitter), and Murdoch (Fox News) that support him are foaming at the mouth ready to devour and destroy democracy in the name of greed and white supremacy, as they think "real" freedom no longer works under democracy. They have joined forces with the Christian Nationalists to want a dictatorship and a theocracy. 

Theil for the record is a gay man, and what he doesn't understand is that his money won't protect him from their hate. I think he thinks he could escape to New Zealand.

It's strange to watch the final nails of our democracy's coffin be put in place. 

Meanwhile, the other "saving" party is behaving business as usual.

The GOP is set to destroy our democracy as we know it with strengthening the executive branch and weakening checks and balances. The mainstream now knows about Project 2025.
The ideals are the brainchildren of the conservative thinktank, The Heritage Foundation.

The elimination of certain executive cabinet positions will allow less federal control over labor rights, environmental regulations, discrimination protections, and safety nets provided by our federal government, the people, (eg. social security). All of it gone and left up to the states, including the poorer states.(Most likely hedgefund managers taking the trillions in social security to make a killing, while those who depend on it lose their savings, depending on the mood of the markets.)

And many of you fools will be electing a group of people who waited decades to destroy these things, and democracy, as we try to make our democracy about the poor, working-class, nonwhite, nonmale, etc to be included in it, they want to destroy it. 

(Now our grocery bills are higher but we have $1200 mini computers that we use as phones, but complain about bread. And don't get it twisted, democracy and capitalism are not the same. If you're fucking complaining about the cost of greed, then blame capitalism not democracy.)

Something to remember, This extreme right-wing movement is global. And so it will be a long fight beyond my remaining years on this planet.

Trust me, I take nothing for granted anymore, and if Trump wins in November, I will be done with both parties and will be out there in the streets fighting these fascists, as well as with a pen. 

I guess then the Republicans can send that punk-ass, snot-nose Rittenhouse to shoot me, while Ben Shapiro creams in his pants about Rittenhouse killing a member of ANTIFA disguised as a middle-class, 53 year-old mother from Joliet. 

Finally, maybe my own Trump supportive family members will be happy that someone finally shut me up.

Dear Asshole Americans who voted for the Orange Motherf*cker (especially family members), A few days ago was January 6, 2025, for those keeping track, it was a day in which Congress routinely certifies the Presidential Election. It felt normal, unlike the last Presidential election certification.  On January 6, 2021, our years of tradition and the core of our democracy was challenged for the first time when there was no peaceful transfer of power.  Instead we watched as "Americans" stormed the Capitol all in the name of saving their Orange Bastard messiah from being "cheated out of an election."  We all know, including you all, that it was a fucking lie from, to use Jon Stewart's words, a "whiny bitch".  The current election certification was completed without the horror that we witnessed four years ago.   As the markets open this morning, I am fretting what that means for my husband and I, who were told in our 20s and 30s that we should be saving our 401Ks for a rainy day. We both are from poor/mid working-class families and both went to college (he served in the Army before I met him). We worked our way “up” to middle class with 2 kids, 2 dogs, 2 guinea pigs, and one rabbit.  If you came to our neighborhood you would see a typical suburban setting of homes built in the early 2000s, and to my chagrin, all beige, except a few that went bold with dark grey, slate blue, and red.  This is our second home and we bought it on short sale in 2014. Our first home was in an older part of Joliet, an American Four-Square, all brick built in 1928. We bought that home in 2003 then in 2008, we saw our first home plummet in value over the next four years.
