A Letter to Stop a Coup

All weekend, there were headlines:

And the headlines went on and on, all weekend. (I get why the media wanted him to win again, Trump does make the headlines that generate more money for them.) But this is far from a scripted “reality show." This is about our lives, our country, and the people in it.
This morning I was asked by a family member as to why Musk and his DOGE wanted access to our social security numbers and our information through the Treasury Department. My only guess is that he, Peter Theil and their anti-diversity cronies want to destroy it all. For many years, many politicians and their billionaire masters, have referred to Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid, as “socialist” or to create fear in uneducated Americans, they use stronger terms such as “Marxist” or "Communist". For extremist libertarians, any program that helps the poor and working-class is hated. And so, the strategy is to blame the poor while overtaxing the middle-class. Because make no mistake, they hate the middle-class too. As we blame each other and scapegoat even more oppressed groups, especially the poor and immigrant groups, the wealthy get to destroy us from the inside. It's ironic that it is two wealthy immigrants (white men) destroying it while using hate against brown and black immigrants.
Also, Musk being from South Africa, I can only guess that maybe he has waited for years to exact his revenge on the global community for ending South African apartheid. He and his ilk are no doubt white supremacist at their core, and maybe wish to establish a form of American Apartheid. But they are not the kind that go around in Nazi garb or wear white sheets, they are more dangerous and cunning by buying politicians and funding PACs.
For years, they have been against diversity (multiculturalism) and labor. They are the kind of privileged men that believe that if you are not a wealthy white man, you are not worthy of living or existing, unless it is under their control. The apartheid system, as White South Africans, especially the wealthy ones like his family, benefited from it for many years, and the global community, along with South African activists (Nelson Mandela) helped destroy it. So his anger probably has festered, and now being allegedly, the world's richest man, has weasled his way to destroy us from the inside.
Well, along with feeding into the lie of a “white” genocide in South Africa, I was not surprised to see the headline:

But here is a better article from the BBC to explain the issue clearly and more directly. Something our domestic press seems to fail to do. This article tells you that it takes an Act of Congress to shut down an agency (again foreign press explaining better than the American press our own processes).

I am not saying that changes shouldn’t be made or we shouldn't look into policies, but Musk is not an elected official, he is not a confirmed cabinet member, so where he is getting his power? And technically this DOGE, is not an authorized department, only Congress can establish a department. So this "advisory board" has no legal standing to do what Musk is doing. He's manipulating President Donald Trump. Of course, Trump's over bloated ego and his contempt for the job makes it easy for them to control him. As I can imagine a conversation among Musk, Theil's pick for Chief of Staff, Susie Wiles, going something like,
"Don't worry Mr. President, you can return to the golf course or posting on Truth Social soon, just sign these Executive Orders, and take pictures for the press."
The extremists have discovered their perfect show monkey, and they had 4 years to organize this coup. The Heritage Foundation even published their plan in 2023, called "Project 2025".
Honestly, who is running the country? Do you all remember Elon Musk and Peter Theil on the ballot? I do not. Well, they can't run for President anyway, because they were not born here. So, they used a demagogue, learned lessons from his First Administration.
The fact that there is no Congressional outcry from either party is alarming. The GOP’s response is not surprising. I feel that they are going to let Musk get away with it, as they have all bowed to the Trump regime a long time ago.
But what is alarming is that there are very few Democratic Congressional members addressing this.
And I am convinced that many Democratic politicians are buying that this is just “political theater” or the same political game that has always been played. But, in my paranoia, I feel that many Democratic politicians are in on the game. As one headline over the weekend suggested, Senator Amy Klobacher hopes that the GOP and Democrats can work together. Yeah, not sure how someone finds common grounds with fascist sociopaths for bipartisanship, but sure. One tool that Senate Democrats could use is to halt all confirmation hearings until the rule of law is restored. But I don't see that happening.
Not to be an alarmist, OK, I am being an alarmist, we need to take action. We need to stop this coup. We, the people, need to stop this form of tyranny. Because some things that I do know about Musk and Theil, they hate diversity, they hate social security, they hate helping others, they hate the government, and most of all, THEY HATE THE UNITED STATES. They’re using Donald Trump, his regime, and our division to destroy the US.
(Side note: I think that Stanford produces sociopaths, or it could be that billionaires are just sociopaths.)
We need to try to use what’s left of our system to save it. So, let’s give writing our Senators and House Representatives to demand Elon Musk’s be ousted out of our Government, and take his buddy Peter Theil and their minions with him. We will give this a try. If this doesn't work then it will be up to the PEOPLE to take direct action.
Because, we cannot let this happen. Musk and the other billionaires have the money, but we have the fucking numbers. So what are all of US going to do about it?
I urge all of you reading this, if you care about the U.S., if you care about fighting tyranny, and I do not care who you voted for, I just know that NO ONE voted for Elon Musk to write to your Senators and Congress Members. And if you really care about this nation, you will make this demand from the Trump regime to drop him.
Below is a draft of an email that I sent out, just to make it feel like I am doing something:
Dear (Representative or Senator) (Fill In),
It is with great trepidation that I write this email to you regarding the supposed “Department of Government Efficiency” (DOGE) being run by Elon Musk.
First, with Mr. Musk’s government contracts that his company, Space X, holds with the United State government, his involvement in this administration is a conflict of interest, to say the least.
But what is most important is the apparent “coup” he has committed through this fallacy of a “Department”. He is not elected. He is not a confirmed member of the Trump Cabinet, as you well know. Actually, as we all know, it takes an Act of Congress to create a “Department”. So, this DOGE, technically, is an “advisory board” at best. This “advisory board” has overstepped its authority, as well as the Trump administration. These acts are not the will of the people. I urge that action be taken immediately.
Reading articles from NPR to Reuters, he has gained access to the Department of Treasury’s database systems and is dismantling USAID. His staff are all inexperienced kids ready to assist him and Peter Theil tear it all down. Surely, you all know this is all unconstitutional? How can he stop payments of a budget that was already approved? How is it that your Republican colleagues in the House or Senate ok with all this? It feels that unelected billionaires have taken over our White House and are doing so with the GOP-controlled Congress’s blessing. A recent article by Heather Cox-Richardson quoted Political Scientist, Seth Masket:
“Elon Musk is not a federal employee, nor has he been appointed by the President nor approved by the Senate to have any leadership role in government. The ‘Department of Government Efficiency,’ announced by Trump in a January 20th executive order, is not truly any sort of government department or agency, and even the executive order uses quotes in the title. It’s perfectly fine to have a marketing gimmick like this, but DOGE does not have power over established government agencies, and Musk has no role in government. It does not matter that he is an ally of the President. Musk is a private citizen taking control of established government offices. That is not efficiency; that is a coup.”
We and other Americans are concerned over this apparent “coup.” What authority does Musk have to do these things? Where are the checks and balances?
I am requesting that a full investigation be brought on by Congress. I am calling out that Elon Musk has no legal or official capacity to serve in our government and be demanding anything in our agencies.
We need to protect our systems. We need to protect, We, The People.
