Unattainable Goal: Trump and the Nobel Peace Prize

Dear Mr. Trump,

So this morning, it was announced who was to receive the Nobel Peace Prize. And to your regime's disappointment and your wrath and shame, it was not you. Despite reaching a ceasefire deal with Netanyahu and Hamas, Oslo did not give it to you. (Though I will say for the sake of the Palestinian people, I hope the ceasefire works out this time.) 

Instead, it was Venezuelan activist, Maria Corina Machado for her pro-democracy activism. (https://www.nobelprize.org/prizes/peace/2025/press-release/)  Which makes me believe that maybe the universe is just and people like you do not always get rewarded for bad and evil behavior. And the irony that it was a Latin woman from Venezuela is not lost on me, though with your dementia setting in, it might be lost on you. Anyway, I am happy that someone deserving got it, and not you. 

Speaking of which, it was reported that Norway was/is actually scared of retaliation from you and your regime. (https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2025-10-09/norway-on-edge-over-trump-ahead-of-nobel-peace-prize-verdict) I am not sure what you will use, the unconstitutional tariffs that you are imposing on trade partners. (And by the way, I am actually for some tariffs on products that WE ACTUALLY PRODUCE. Milk from Canada? Yes. Coffee from Brazil? No.  But your feeble, simple mind and Navarro's stupidity to a decade long gone, well, prices have gone up for all of us.  Anyway, I digress.) Or will you actually bomb Norway? 

The point is that you will never get that one prize that you seem to crave the most. I hope they do not give it to wannabe dictators. And if I had my way, I would ensure that you never get it. And just for the hell of it, I hope they give it to Obama again. (But honestly, I don't think he should have gotten it, I wish he would have closed Guantanamo Bay instead of expanding the ME wars., but I voted for the man twice because he was a better man than you, for that matter John McCain was too, you loser!)

Again, I know your attention span is short, but here are just a few reasons why:

First, this regime's sponsored state terrorism on our communities, especially the immigrant communities will disqualify you for the Nobel Peace Prize. You are literally sending agents of the state, ICE, to kidnap, abuse, beat, and imprison immigrants without due process. Previously, you stated in speeches that you would only target criminals, and your asshole base fell for it. But you are targeting all immigrants, aren't you? Soon, you will be targeting all Latinos and all the other groups that you and your regime seem undesirable. This playbook sounds so familiar to me, oh, I know, Hitler!  You're not even original in your thinking, what a fucking loser!

Second, your ethnic cleansing policies of detaining and performing mass deportations on other human beings, which include deporting some to prisons in other countries, opening a concentration camp in Florida, will not earn you a Nobel Peace Prize. 

Also, what happens when you no longer have the patience to detain immigrants, non-white, non-hetero, non-rich, people?  Those of us who studied genocide knows what comes next. And you all prosecuting your political opponents, I wrote my thesis on politicide. It's happening.

Third, someone who desires peace would not place their own military in our cities. What's your point with this? Are you so senile that you don't know what year it is? Your own members of your regime are manipulating you into sending troops into Portland which you think is burning. Who is to blame for that? Noem, Miller, Hegseth, or Rubio? Or is it your Chief of Staff who answers to Peter Theil?  All I know is that you are not the one really in charge. But don't worry, a new Democratic President will pardon you in the name of unity for your crimes, but will send the rest of your regime to jail. (See Nixon).  Plus we know how you love to shove people under the bus.

Fourth, you are committing crimes against humanity, not only within your own borders, but bombing Venezuelan boats in which you and your regime claim are drug traffickers, which cannot be verified, but it has been reported by these men's families that they are fishermen. You and your regime think you are untouchable and accountable to no one.  But as MLK, Jr believed, "the arc of justice is long but it bends toward justice."  And more than anything, I think you being denied the Nobel Peace Prize is the beginning of it bending.

Fifth, you literally sold our country to Qatar for a plane. Really? Qatar an airfield? 

Finally, the idea that you are a bully who can be manipulated with ass-kissing of praises and worship does not make you the ideal candidate, as you have no sense of integrity, decency, and history. Netanyahu literally promised this a few months ago, and broke it within days. And let's not bring up Putin. Yikes.

You are a fascist and are destroying our democracy. Maria Corina Machado is working for Democratic rights in Venezuela, as you destroy them in the United States. You two are not the same. As a half Latina American, I am so glad that she won. I know how you hate women and especially non-white women, and she beat you for standing up for democracy.

Again, I hope the ceasefire works in the Israel/Palestine conflict, but you are committing ethnic cleansing here, so why get the Prize for stopping one overseas? You will never get the Nobel Peace Prize for the state sponsored terrorism that you are committing on the United States. If anything, the only "enemy within" is you. But sure it's ANTIFA. (By the way, ANTIFA is a fucking movement, not a group and it means, "antifascist", and the only reason you and your regime would be against Anti-fascists, would be because you all are actually fascists.)

So no, they do not give the Nobel Peace Prize to those oppressing and terrorizing their own members of their own nation. They do not give the Nobel Peace Prize to those killing Venezuelan fishermen. They do not give the Nobel Peace Prize to those who are kidnapping people. They will never give the Nobel Peace Prize to you.

But it would be a good time to release those Epstein files. You could do that.

  As the markets open this morning, I am fretting what that means for my husband and I, who were told in our 20s and 30s that we should be saving our 401Ks for a rainy day. We both are from poor/mid working-class families and both went to college (he served in the Army before I met him).
