A Letter to the Voters of the Orange Motherf*cker: Peaceful Transfer of Power

Image
Dear Asshole Americans who voted for the Orange Motherf*cker (especially family members), A few days ago was January 6, 2025, for those keeping track, it was a day in which Congress routinely certifies the Presidential Election. It felt normal, unlike the last Presidential election certification.  On January 6, 2021, our years of tradition and the core of our democracy was challenged for the first time when there was no peaceful transfer of power.  Instead we watched as "Americans" stormed the Capitol all in the name of saving their Orange Bastard messiah from being "cheated out of an election."  We all know, including you all, that it was a fucking lie from, to use Jon Stewart's words, a "whiny bitch".  The current election certification was completed without the horror that we witnessed four years ago. Your willful ignorance and its (Orange MFer from this point forward or "IT" as its pronoun) ego destroyed the revolutionary idea of a peacef...

Dismantling

Image
I have been teetering between anger and fear, with glimpses of hope in between. But most of my energy is anger. And who is the anger targeting?  Well, first it will be those closest to me who voted for Orange Mussolini, sorry, Bastard. I can’t. I won’t. I am not sure I have other family members who expect me to break bread with those who voted against the people they love.  I cannot. My anger is too great to hold in and be cordial.  They are considered my opposition now.  They are considered hateful in my eyes, I don’t give a shit the bullshit excuse of the fucking economy.  But then again, maybe, I have a difficult time understanding how people that the same people raised as I was could be so different than me. I don’t expect us all to be the same on issues, but supporting a compassionless and hateful person?  I will always love them, but I need those lines drawn in the sand.  When I called him a fascist, I wasn’t being hyperbolic, but who car...

Thank You Veterans that Voted for Harris

Image
Veterans   who voted for Harris to save democracy:  I want to say thank you. I want to say thank you to my husband for being one of those veterans. You refused to support a man who showed nothing but contempt for you and other veterans.  You refused to support a man who does not care for the Constitution of our country that you served. You paid attention that he called veterans and service members losers.  You understood that he ridiculed Senator McCain for being a POW during his time in Vietnam.  You understand that you all served to fight fascists not elect them. You believe in the rule of law instead of reckless disregard for our processes. You believed in the peaceful transfer of power as he broke our almost 250 years of that tradition on January 6, 2021, calling for the will of the American people to be overturned. You know that he decided to take a photo op at Arlington Cementary and his people fought a service member when they were called on it. http...

Project 2025 - Preparing to Fight.

Below is an article that seems to sum up Project 2025 really well.   And has the article is appropriately named, it is: A Roadmap to Fascism by The Heritage Foundation: https://religiondispatches.org/project-2025-how-trump-loyalists-and-right-wing-leaders-are-paving-a-fast-road-to-fascism/ It seems the plan was created to happen quickly instead of the analogy of a frog slowly boiling in water and not jumping out because it doesn't seem to realize what is happening. It seems the Heritage Foundation's Project 2025 wants to throw us in the boiling water. After reading this article and its excellent breakdown, I think it's just one of the many articles I will be reading along with the actual Project 2025. I just downloaded it from The Heritage Foundation. It is a 922-page book. But the download is free and I provided them with my Yahoo email which I do not really use, so well, I am not sure what kind of anarchist I would be with my name on the "Regressive" website. Y...

Today I Voted, Maybe for the Last Time?

Image
Today, I voted. As it should come as no surprise to you all, I voted Democrat all down ticket. The good news is that the line for early voting was long at the Oswego Village Hall. Hooray, Democracy! I wish it was always like that for every election, but this one seems to be the most important. The volunteer at the polling place was glad it was busy, and I responded, “As a fan of our electoral process, I am very happy to see a line this long and it’s not even voting day.” Regardless of how either one of us felt, she smiled and agreed very much. For someone who is a big fan of our electoral process, I was happy to see all these people taking part in our democracy!  I want it to continue!  But then a great sadness came over me.  One of the candidates has no respect for our electoral process, one said that in 2020 the election was stolen from him, the same candidate is running on using our military, the military he consistently degrades, to go after his pol...

The Trumper Troll Neighbor and Election Integrity

Image
As the election draws closer, my nerves are in knots. Will the American voting public choose common sense and democracy, or will they choose a shit-show version of fascism that comes in orange and wears a red tie?  I have no faith in the American voting public at all, not since 2016. Actually, I am convinced that my fellow Americans are masochists and not the fun kind.   But before I get into my main topic, I have an interesting social media story to tell you all. (See my 10/14/24 post, "Troll or Not?" for background.) I just recently experienced someone who is in the Orange cult, in real life, it was my neighbor. She has been a “friend” on FB for a year, and I knew her political views, but I paid no attention to her except when she would post happy family pictures, because, regardless of someone’s political leanings, I always wish them love and it’s nice to see it.  So when she commented last week on my post about my inquiry about JD Vance’s name changes (there are three...

Gasoline Addiction - Paying the Price

Image
"The problem with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt." - Bertrand Russell. I hate it when I doubt what I know is true. But it will eat me up until I prove myself right (and sometimes wrong). So here I am because a Trumper neighbor tried to gaslight me. (Pun intended, wait, is it a pun?) Gas prices were not lower before the pandemic than during the pandemic.  Here is the data: Source: https://www.eia.gov/dnav/pet/hist/leafhandler.ashx?n=pet&s=emm_epm0_pte_nus_dpg&f=m The only way the American government lowers gasoline prices is to pressure the OPEC nations to increase production, like get their money for investments like the Orange Bastard's s on-in-law did, or give oil companies more corporate welf are. And that is the way of the world. Gas prices are a bitch to contend with...but if you look at the data and apply inflation, gas in 2017 ($2.76) would be $3.53 in 2024. So, the price of gas is on par with inflation. B...

Troll or Not?

Trolling is a term used for accounts that always have a reply for posts on social media or other media platforms. This term is named after a monstrous fictional creature that usually hides under bridges and eats baby goats trying to cross them. I must admit this has happened more often than not on social media, and since I have decided to “put myself out there,” it has become commonplace. Now, I can have “fake” accounts doing this for money or scams, but I do get real-life people going through my feed and having a reply for a lot of my posts. It is difficult to distinguish sincerity from those just trying to be mean.  I would not have the time or the patience to do this to others, plus it just seems plain mean. What would drive someone to do this? I mean, I go through people’s posts to see if I want to follow them back or want them in my circle, especially on FB. But I wouldn’t reply to any of them. It’s just a weird way to be, scrolling through someone’s feed and commenting...

Maybe, It's him

Just maybe, it's his own rhetoric that puts his life in danger.  Maybe it's the hate he gives that is being returned ten-fold.  Maybe it's the threat he and his minions are to this fragile democracy.  Maybe, I am blaming the victim. But don't be fooled, he's no victim. That is laughable, I see no victim when I look at him.  "Live by the sword,  Die by the sword."  The so-called Christians should appreciate this quote.  His sword is the hateful rhetoric he uses against this world. So what is expected in return? Love? Compassion? He has shown that he cannot show these things, why should he receive it? He is vile.  He dehumanizes others, including his supporters, so I will continue to be calling him a threat to democracy. All because he loves only himself not this nation, not its people. And yes, he hates even the ones who love him. But the compassionate one in me will condemn the violence even toward that Orange Bastard. But the fighter in me will...

Complacency

I often wonder why I'm not one of those people who are happy being complacent. It boggles the mind how anyone could look around the world and not try to help others or improve it. Honestly, I am jealous of those who can see the world around them burning or others suffering, and say to themselves, "Well it's not me."  This seems to be the wealthy's attitude. How could one hoard so much money and pay your workers so little? Why would you let offers suffer, including your workers? Why do some get government contracts but then do not want to pay their fair of taxes? Why does our government do this? But the complacency that bothers me the most are from middle-class and working-class people. It's alarming to me when they defend the morbidly wealthy. It's sickening. Like when you see working-class men protecting Walmart stores from looters during civil unrest or natural disaster. Why? Why would you risk your life for some wealthy fucks who pay their workers shit?...
