American Gestapo

Tyranny and state-sponsored terrorism are two terms that I would generally associate with the present day United States government, and here we are. Not only is there a demented madman in the White House, but there are his leading henchmen (and women) who are more than happy to bow to his every whim. (And I thought the 1st term was hell, but at least there appeared to be some who managed to contain him. I thought that the first administration was the worst, but I was wrong.) The worst of all of them is Stephen Miller and Kristi Noem, the ethnic cleansing policies adopted by this administration, and the tool of terror, Immigrant and Customs Enforcement (ICE). Or now I will refer to it as the American Gestapo.


About ICE:


ICE was formed by combining two agencies in response to the 9/11 attack under the Homeland Security Act of 2002, which also created the Department of Homeland Security. (Note: for those of you who forgot their civics lessons, it takes an act of Congress to create or dismantle a Department under the Executive Branch, or change its name.). Anyway, “Homeland” always bothered me. I would never describe the country that I was born and live in as my “homeland” but my country. I guess “country” wasn’t militant enough, but now with ICE becoming a tool of state-sponsored terrorism, recently killing an activist, Renee Nichole Good, a mother of three in Minneapolis, MN.


Renee is not the only person killed by this modern-day Gestapo in the past five months, there’s Silverio Villegas González, a father and a cook that was fleeing. This killing took place in a suburb in Chicago.  Also, it seems that many of died in the detainment (modern day concentration camps.)


Now, it is only fair that I point out that since W. and even during the 1980s, there always have been immigration raids on places of businesses and farms, but over the past year, including some Hollywood movie type raid on a residential skyscraper in Chicago, these have been crueler and more inhumane than anything that I have witnessed or read about.  And as it is said, the cruelty is the point, much like it was during the Nazi regime in the 1930s, and any other place and time where fascism and/or authoritarianism took place. 


And after the murder of Renee Good on January 7, 2026 by Johnathon Ross, who shot her in the face twice, shooting three times in the car and then called her a “fucking bitch”, the dehumanizing makes it perfectly clear what the message is: Comply or die.


Why call them the American Gestapo?



Well, as a student of genocide, I can tell you who exactly the Gestapo was:


The Gestapo (Geheime Staatspolizei) was the secret police of the German Nazis during the reign of terror that the German Nazis brought through Germany and Nazi occupied Europe. And from basic research, this secret police started in Prussia by Hermann Göring, as part of the political and espionage branch of the Prussian police, but then transformed itself by hiring Nazis to fill its ranks.  Their sole mission was to terrorize and round up those they deemed undesirable: Jews, disabled, political dissenters, especially those who were anti-Nazi. 

 

Is this sounding familiar? 


ICE was created as a response to 9/11 in which our government created an atmosphere of fear and hate, and even when human and civil rights groups warned that this fear and the oppressive legislations that followed, including the NSA spying that now includes the help of private tech companies, who by the way are making billions off our data, are now helping ICE, because the “Big Beautiful Bill Act,” not only cut SNAP and Medicaid benefits, but gave a large portion of our tax money to a massive hiring spree for ICE. 


Now, ICE with its untrained, overpaid, with no respect for rule of law, due process, or human rights, and now is a massive force with madmen (and Noem) at its helm.  This morning this was a video showing the Nazi-in-charge, Greg Bovino, surrounded by ICE officers, as if HE WAS A KING! You would think if he was as tough as you thought, bitch wouldn’t need to be surrounded. (Trump should watch out, as it appears Bovino could be vying for his job.)

And if you have seen recent photos of him, in a long coat, well, I am justified to call ICE the American Gestapo, and Bovino is its Nazi leader.


And how are they not the secret police? I get when REAL police officers cover their faces for protect their faces for riots, but even then those masks are clear, but these assholes cover them so not to be identified. Why are these cowards hiding?


And this American Gestapo is not about keeping “law and order”, they are keeping “order” only, and this order is set by Trump, Stephen Miller, and Kristi Noem, which is based on xenophobia and racism. This American Gestapo can only get worse unless we, the people, stop them. This is not just about dissent and immigration rights, but this is about our democracy. All of our freedoms. And at this point this is not about left or right, Democrat or Republican, but about who we can be as a nation.  We can’t let these atrocities be committed in our name, our citizens are being killed by the state in our name. (But then again, this is a nation that does nothing while our children are being slaughtered in mass shootings or street violence. So my hope of all of us doing the just thing…)


We, again, are at a vital turning point in our nation. And as he threatens our allies and sides with our enemies, we are at that pivotal moment, asking ourselves, “Which side are you on?”


This portion is the rant part: May contain vulgarity.


What strikes me the most is those who I would consider in the “minority” groups helping this fucking regime committing ethnic cleansing. The irony is that Stephen Miller is Jewish, at least I view as irony. Does he think that once he is done with ethnic cleansing of Latins (like me and my family) and other immigrants that the white supremacists are going to let him live just because he helped them get rid of the rest of us? Once he no longer is useful to them, they will dispose of him, much like they will Rubio. (Cubans always think they are special, as if they don’t fit in with the rest of us Latins. And just for the record for those of you who are Roman Catholic and are siding with them, these racist, fascist assholes don't like you either. For them, Christian Nationalism doesn't include Catholics or any other non-Protestant group.)  Whelp, so if shit goes down, don't say I didn't warn you.


And Noem and Bondi, you stupid, stupid cunts, listen, as a “white” looking Latina who also knows that these assholes also are misogynist as fuck, they are not going to let you hang on to power, nor any woman (Republican or not) in the House or Senate. You stupid white women, what in the fuck makes you the exception, your hair extensions? If you are a Republican woman in power, and if these assholes get their way, whelp, you’re not fucking special, you'll lose your power and your rights along with the rest of us.


I cannot understand how any non-white, non-citizen, or non-cis men, or any LGBT people can side or help these motherfuckers.


I, even in my naivete, have a difficult time understanding poor and white working-class men who side with these assholes. You hold tight to your whiteness and maleness because that is the only fucking thing you have? I will never understand how these men do not see that they are expendable like the rest of us. They'll just take longer to kill you.


As they crack down on dissent, by killing protesters and spraying priests, it seems that the more powerful they get, the more violent they will become. This orange motherfucker appears to be forming his own secret police, as if the FBI, NSA, and CIA weren’t fucking bad enough, now ICE is being their personal thugs, or as gangs/mobs like to put it, “muscle”.


This is not some type of hyperbolic, shit. ICE being called the American Gestapo is not extreme, not after January 7th. 


When I was in undergrad, I was told that racism and the other -isms could be considered national security threats, and this was prior to social media. And with Facebook being accused by human rights groups of aiding in the genocide in Myanmar of the Rohingya, and now with the unraveling of democracy in the United States due to Zuckerberg and the other tech oligarchs being compliant with this regime, social media has become a tool for hate, oppression, and genocide. (These men decided a long time ago that capitalism doesn't need democracy to survive. One is an economic system, the other is a political system.)


What the Trump regime's American Gestapo (ICE) is doing is ethnic cleansing. And once they are done with “illegals”, they will go after “legals” which there are cases of this happening, and even now they are going after citizens, especially those of us who will fight and speak out against this fucking idiot and his power hungry lackeys. And well, history tells us how this could end.


It’s not too late for us to reverse this. It’s not too late to shame the political leaders who stand by and let this happen.


Those of you that swore to fight tyranny, where the fuck are you? Or did many of you join the American Gestapo?

 

This shit goes beyond opinions and perspectives. This shit is wrong. And I can’t pretend that some of you didn’t support this shit. That some of you love tyranny, cruelty, and fascism. And I don’t want to hear that you didn’t vote at all. Because, fuck you, still. And what is sick to me that we not only elected him once, but twice. I hate that so many of you are so weak and stupid. I mean we're all susceptible to propaganda, but the hell? I literally have a Masters in Political Studies. I know that I am a leftist, more than most you can ever imagine, but I still can answer questions without a spin, I promise. But what the fuck do I know.


Anyway, if I am killed or imprisoned for speaking out, I figured I have lived to be 55, which isn’t too bad. And soon, my second born will graduate from High School, so technically both will be adults. So fuck it.


I cannot watch these atrocities being committed in my name. So I will protest, write, call, and protect myself, as I have said before, I will use my 2nd A to protect my 19th, and my 1st, and my 4th, and well hell, all of my rights. I, for one, am not going down without a fight.


So FUCK ICE.

  As the markets open this morning, I am fretting what that means for my husband and I, who were told in our 20s and 30s that we should be saving our 401Ks for a rainy day. We both are from poor/mid working-class families and both went to college (he served in the Army before I met him). First,  They claim that it's only "illegals" and the "bad ones" they hate. Second,  Then it's all the "illegals. Third,  Then it becomes some of the "legals" are bad. (We are here.)
